Pre-6 AM Beard Update

I realize I am wearing the same shirt as I was last update. That was like 3 days ago. No, I have not been wearing the same polo since then. Can we focus on what's important here? My beard, the subject of "The Beard Growth Project", is actually getting compliments lately. Things like "Oh, I doesn't even look that bad". And "aww, you almost look like a grown man". I don't do it for the praise, mind you. I do it for the science. The compliments are just encouraging.

Easter Beard Update

It's been a couple of days since my last post. Well, more like 5 days. So, more than a couple of days. What can I say? Sometimes, there's just no time to keep track of my beard growth. Yesterday (Saturday), I had to work in the morning, do a couple of chores at the house, and attend a baptism. But, excuses are like assholes. They all stink. Keep on checking to see what's new with my facial hair growth. Even if there are no new posts, "The Beard Growth Project" continues. For the foreseeable future.

Week 6 Starts

It's Monday, officially past the mid-point for the month of March. "The Beard Growth Project" is officially 6 weeks old. After numerous posts and hair growth updates, it's starting to finally look like an actual beard. In pictures at least. In person, it still looks like a random conglomeration of confused hairs that somehow managed to congregate upon my face. It's a mess. But, I'm not doing this to look good. No way. This is not a vanity project . . . OK, maybe a little bit.

Non-Beard Related - Full Monty

As you know, growing a beard is pretty much a full time job. But, I do manage to get some time to look for funny shit here and there. Which is why I'd like to share this with you folks. Monty Python is one of the best things to ever come out of the United Kingdom. It makes me laugh, even now. You can check out this Monty Python video wall which has an adequately large amount of Monty Python videos uploaded to YouTube. Check it out. Should make for some fun times.

Up Close and Beard-sonal

Hey there, people that somehow stumbled upon this rather weird (and some may even argue pointless) blog. Just dropping in an update as to the progress that's currently happening with "The Beard Growth Project". As you can see from the latest picture, I'm almost looking like a grown man. A grown man with too much time on his hands and strange interests. Nothing much more to say today. I'll just keep this beard going for as long as possible. See you in a couple of days.

Mid-Week Beard Report

I'm not sure if it's the lack of appropriate lighting, or just the fact that my beard is just not growing at a rate that can be seen by the naked eye (ooh, naked . . . rawr), but I just don't see any difference at all from my last update. My wife did notice that my one gray (well, it's more white) that grows on my face actually sticks up and goes against the grain, making it fairly visible to beard on-lookers. I might take a picture of that to show the internets people what old looks like. In the meantime, I'll just keep growing this beard . . . for the sake of science and "The Beard Growth Project".

The Literate Beard Review - Monster Planet

Hey beard lovers. As you might have known, or are just finding out, when I'm not busy juggling a full-time job, family life, and growing a beard . . . all at the same time (yes, I know, it's mind-boggling how I pull it off), I tend to read books. Books that I then submit reviews for over at Analog Medium. My latest literary victim is David Wellington's "Monster Planet". Those guys are kind enough (true gents) to post them up on their fine weblog for all to see. I don't even know why they keep putting them up. I'm fairly amateurish when it comes to writing reviews. I'm more adept at making fun of either myself or celebrities (modesty is one of my strong suits . . . so is liberal use of parenthesis . . eses . . ii?). But, why am I keeping you here? Head on out to Analog Medium and check it out for yourself.
